It has an annual budget of around 160 million dollars. The department needed a comprehensive study of their whole department to identify gaps in the business processes. The project encompassed Water Allocation, Water Compliance, Hydrology, Information Technology, and Planning section of the department.o DHSS-WIC state of Missouri (Business Analysis)Department of health and senior services manages the Women Infant and Children program, which is a supplemental nutritional program for pregnant women, new mothers, infants and children up to age 5. It has an annual budget of around 90 million dollars. WIC program aims to provide health screening, risk assessment, nutritional education, breast-feeding promotion etc. The program is administered through institutions called Local agencies that come up with a yearly plan. Once approved that plan is used as a guide to their day-to-day activities. Local agencies invoice DHSS for the services provided and payments are mailed to them. Monitoring of the activities of local agencies to ensure compliance is also part of the DHSS-WIC activities.o Tree seedling – State of Missouri (Implementation)State of Missouri’s conservation program operates George O. White state forest nursery, one of the largest nurseries in the country. It has annual sales of about a million dollars. They plant seeds that are harvested as seedlings and sold to the public. The project involved developing the internal application that is used to administer the inventory, ordering, invoicing, and shipping. Also, some modules achieved inventory management from a mobile device and an online application that enabled the public to purchase the seedlings online and track their orders.o Shooting range – State of Missouri (Business Analysis and Implementation)The state of Missouri operates about 100 shooting ranges that are open to the public. Inspections are conducted twice a year to determine the state of the facilities and to identify any improvements needed. The business analysis effort identified and documented the requirements. Subsequent implementation included internal application and mobile application. The mobile application allows the users to perform inspection offline and subsequently sync them to the internal application.o DED – CMS – State of Missouri (Business Analysis)The Department of Economic Development Customer Management System is used to administer various kinds of bonds, exemptions, grants, loans, tax credits, tax increment financing and withholdings. The system although administered by the department of economic development, is also used by the department of housing, department of natural resources, department of revenue, department of social services, department of agriculture, and department of insurance. It allows the department of revenue to generate reports and statistics needed to report to the legislature on the various programs tracked in the system. The system administered multi-billion dollars.• Coolworks – Internal project Coolsoft (Implementation and subsequent enhancements)An internal application that tracks and enables all the recruitment and proposal response efforts internal to coolsoft. It also acts as a portal for external users to submit requests.
